Bus or car from Umeå to Hemavan Tärnaby
From Umeå, the easiest way to get to Hemavan Tärnaby is by bus or car. By car or bus, you travel on the E12 along the “Blue Highway”, one of Scandinavia’s most beautiful routes. It runs from Umeå, along the stunning Umeälven river to Hemavan Tärnaby, then westward to Mo i Rana and ends in Nesna, way out on the Atlantic coast.
Along the way, you pass a landscape of streams, mountains and rapids. If you fancy a break, you can visit Sami camps and limestone caves en route.
In northern Sweden, buses run by Länstrafiken i Västerbotten offer the easiest way to reach the slopes.
